Family Law Valuations

Where we work

One practice. Every state and territory.

Family Law Valuations is based in Double Bay, Sydney, and values businesses for family law matters across Australia. Outside Sydney every engagement is run remotely, on the same two fixed fees and the same process. Choose a city for the local detail: the court that hears the matter there, the time difference against our phone hours and what court attendance costs.

By city

Family law business valuation, city by city

Why a valuer does not need to be in your city

A business valuation is an analysis of records and of how a business earns its income. The financial statements, tax returns, management accounts and ownership documents are the same documents wherever the valuer reads them, and the owner's account of the business is taken by phone. The Family Law Act 1975 is Commonwealth legislation, so the framework for a property settlement is national. Western Australia is the exception in one respect: it has its own family court, which the Perth page explains.

Hobart, Darwin and regional Australia

There is no separate page for every city because nothing about the service changes. Engagements in Tasmania, the Northern Territory and regional areas are run the same way: from the business records, by phone and document exchange, on the same fixed fees. The enquiry form asks for your state or territory so any local consideration is picked up at the scope stage.
